We were founded in 2010 by Lucy Dawe, who leads the business as founder and CEO. Since that time the property sector has grown. Specifically, whilst people are still buying and selling, the rental sector has seen a big increase. Therefore, landlords are upping their game, with attractive well-maintained properties. In order to attract good quality tenants, properties must be of a high standard.
As estate and letting agents with a great reputation, it means a great deal. Actually, it’s VERY important to us. We are a fully accredited member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents. Firstly, not all letting agencies have this. Why? Because it’s hard to get! And, hard to keep, of course.
In summary, being an ARLA Propertymark member signifies that we adhere to the standards and levels of professionalism that this highly regarded body out for its members. How? Because we have to work to a robust Code of Practice which governs everything we do. And, in an unregulated industry this is something you should make mandatory when using the services of a letting agent.
Therefore, all our key stages in letting and managing property are in accordance with this accreditation body.
There are strict rules governing how and where we store your deposit payment. Since 2007, legislation has been in place to ensure that we lodge deposits in a Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme. We will send you a certificate of the deposit within 30 days of the start of your tenancy.
This legislation goes a long way towards protecting our tenants’ money and we support it wholeheartedly.

Re-opening of services update
We have been informed that the Government has made an amendment to The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restriction) (England) (Amendment) (No2) Regulation 2020 which allows for all activities involved in selling and renting properties to recommence from 13th May 2020. Whilst we welcome this change, we are fully aware that we still need to proactively do our bit to ensure the ‘R’ number does not creep up so whilst we will not be returning to our lovely office in Poets Corner, Hove just yet we can complete sales and lettings valuations with practical government guidance and we can carry out viewings on empty properties offering virtual viewings in the first instance. This will be adhered to in a stringent and safe manner.
Our “office hours” are still between 10am -4pm Monday to Friday. You can still call us on 01273-917791 with any queries or to book a valuation / viewing.
Any urgent queries that you have outside of office hours can be called through as normal to 01273-917791.
