Brighton is a small city by the sea which attracts more and more people to visit year on year. The buzzing town is usually full of locals and tourists exploring the charm of the place. However, don’t be surprised if among them you spot some familiar faces.

Over the years, Brighton has attracted elite celebrities who now call this town their home…and for a good reason. Brighton offers the best of the best when it comes to an idyllic lifestyle. Situated by the sea, with picturesque views, a variety of local shops, the famous laines, plenty of restaurants and endless options for outdoor activities.

David Walliams

David Walliams, OBE, is one of the UK’s best-known comedic actors and who happens to live in Brighton and Hove! He was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2017 Birthday Honours for services to charity and the arts. Not only is he hilarious, but he is also a fantastic children’s books author and he does endless amounts of charity work. This includes swimming the English Channel, Strait of Gibraltar and River Thames, raising millions of pounds for the BBC charity Sport Relief.

Adele

Adele Laurie Blue Atkins is one of the most popular and best selling music artists with her sales being over 120 million. She released her debut album 19 in 2008 which then went on to get 8x platinum certified in the UK and triple platinum in the US. She also won the Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 2009 Grammy awards. Her 2nd studio album 21 was released in 2011 and was a massive success earning numerous awards tying the record for most Grammy Awards (six) including album of the year and many more and also getting listed in the rolling stones top 500 albums of all time. In 2021 Adele released Skyfall for the James Bond film of the same name. After a three year break Adele released 25 which became that year’s best selling album and broke the first week sales record in the UK. Over her career Adele has won 15 Grammy Awards and 9 Brit Awards as well as artist of the year in 2012 and 2016 and much much more.

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett is one of Australia’s best-known, best-loved actresses, and she also lives in Brighton! She studied at Australia’s National Institute for Dramatic Art, graduating in 1992. Her U.S. film debut was in 1997’s Paradise Road and she’s gone on to star in a number of lauded projects, including The Talented Mr RipleyThe AviatorThe Curious Case of Benjamin Button and two films about Queen Elizabeth I. In 2005, she won an Academy Award for her role as Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator. She received another Oscar in 2014, this time for Best Actress for her performance in Blue Jasmine, and earned additional acclaim for her role in 2015’s romantic drama Carol.

She is also involved in lots of charitable work and often speaks on issues dear to her heart. In addition to that, she is actively advocating for feminism and women rights.

Steve Coogan

Stephen John Coogan is an English actor, producer, screenwriter and comedian. Starting his career off as a voice actor in the 1980s. on the satirical puppet show Spitting Image and by providing voice overs for advertisements. During the 1990s he started creating original and characters and was also able to found the first Baby Cow Productions with Henry Nomal. Steve Coogan started growing in the film industry in 2002 after starring in both The Parole Officer and 24 hour Party People. He then went on to star in films such as Around the World in 80 days and the Night at the Museum films. In 2012 he developed the character of Alan Partridge, a politically incorrect and socially inept media figure who gained a lot of popularity. In 2018 he was nominated at the Golden Globes, BAFTAs ad Academy Awards for Best adapted Screenplay and best Picture.

This British Author was born in Brighton and many of his books might be actually inspired by Brighton and its surroundings. To put his success into numbers, he has sold over 30million copies of his thrillers worldwide.

Chris Eubank

 

One of Britain’s most loved boxers who competed from 1985 to 1998. He held the WBO middleweight and super-middleweight titles between 1990 and 1995 and is ranked by BoxRec as the third best British super-middleweight boxer of all time. 

He is often spotted strolling around the town, and we heard he is a very approachable and down-to-earth man.
